Monty Sun Serpents Flying circus!
And now, something completely different.

Jack: Boochbeard! I bought your bundle and guess what? The skarakeets dead!
BB: No, its sleeping.
Jack: SLEEEEEPING? Its dead as Ratbeard's sense of humor, Its as numb as Ratbeards singing!
RB: Hey! I didn't expect the monquistan inquisition!
Monkey: Nobody expects the monquistan inquisition! Our key tactic is surprise and fea… our two key tactics are surprise fear and b... Our three key tactics are surprise fear and bananas as well as intimid…. Our key tactic is Surprise, and surprise alone.
Jack: Ever get that feeling of Deja Vu?
Jack: Ever get that feeling of Deja Vu?
Jack: Ever get that feeling of.....
Jack: Ratbeard, you walk silly with that pegleg. You should make that a part of SI new government.
Jack: What happened! Are you hurt?
RB: Tis but a scratch.
BB: We are doing the movies now aren't we?
Jack: Ya, I ran out of material.
RB: Hmmm. Well leave me out of this silliness. I just ate a ton of food and am tired.
Jack: Finish that carrot slice.
Jack: Its only wafer thin.
RB: Ratbeard runs out screaming because if you saw the movie you would get it.... What does that mean?
Jack: You didn't see the movie did you?
RB: No.
Jack: But you are already dead.
Monkey: huh?
Jack: It was the Banana Mousse.
*MB constable walks in*
Constable: All right what's this then?
Jack: Nothing sir.
Constable: Quiet! You are being to silly. All of you! I'm shutting this program down.
Jack: I just came here for an argument.
Constable: No you didn't!
Jack: Yes I did.
Constable: ENOUGH! You are silly, the monkey is silly and the rat is silly. This program is FINISHED!

Marleybone broadcasting central would like to apologize for the silliness. We now present you with something completely diff... Ever get that feeling of Deja Vu?

What I'm working on!

So, there have been a lack of posts. I know that, however besides college there is stuff I'm busy with. here are some of the things I am working on!
1. A post every day for next month.
2. Working on doing some guides for Stars of the Spiral.
3. Getting that party ready.

So, while the last one is kind of a lame excuse, I am working on that post a day for next month, and working on some guides for Kelsey, owner of Stars of the Spiral. Don't know if she wants me to say this, but here are a couple guides I've submitted or have done. 1. The Wreck of the Victory Guide, 2. Soloing the key bosses guide. I have more guide Ideas but the reason I don't post them on here is because they wouldn't help as many people as on an official blog. But all in all, I'm sorry for the lack of posts. Things are busy not just with college but with the site and SOTS. So, expect plenty next month and I hope you stick around or aren't mad! Cya in the spiral!

Tell me your Ideas, and how to submit your posts!

So if you want me to do a post on something specific, type it in the comments. and send an e-mail to with you're fully written post, pirate/wizard name. A full post doesn't need to be long, just well done. State the topic, keep it within KI rules (like no swearing) and add a title if you don't want me to title it. For example, I am currently writing for Stars Of the Spiral, I send Kelsey the post in email, then she reviews it and posts it if she likes it. That's exactly what will happen here. I look forward to seeing all your posts and ideas!

How my blog is different and why!

So you may have noticed all official blogs seem to have a theme. Paige does decorations, and Edward does community event type stuff. So what? You might ask, well let me tell you a quote by Stephan King.(not exact quote but bear with me) "All of our brains have a filter, some filters let sludge through that others wouldn't." And this made me think, what does my brain filter through? If you were an early ready or just looked around a bit you would know at first I was everywhere, guides, housing, writing etc. But now I mainly do theories that make you think more about the game. So besides my writing what else is different? You notice how most 101 blogs are usually colorful right? Well not mine, Mine is generally a darker color, my music is sad while some which have music are fun or w101 like. Another thing you might notice is that I'm not afraid to hide the bad stuff, I will say I've been through depression, or that the spiral doesn't have a bright future. Overall, I think my blog reflects my personality, I have a rather dark outlook on life, I think logically and try to figure everything out even if I have little to go on, I like darker colors as opposed to bright cheerful colors. Overall, I think I like dragonspyre because it sort of reflects me, but besides that, my blog is very different from all others. Is that a bad thing? No I don't think so. Writing can reflect the soul, and because you constantly come back and view my posts doesn't mean you're like me, you just like to learn about the game and put together puzzle pieces that really aren't there with me. This post wasn't for me to say I am different and that's it, it was more to talk about how being different at writing is good and normal. So what's the point of this post? well, how would you, the fans like a section where you can submit ideas, do your own posts and comment on each others posts? I've kind of been toying with that idea for awhile but never got to it. So I'm going to make a section, where you can submit ideas and do you're own posts if you ask to do them and I approve! So when this comes out I'll work on that. I hope to see what all of you contribute and want! Cya in the spiral!

Pirate101 turns 6!

So I've played p101 since year one. While I have taken breaks here and there I always come back. So in honor of p101 turning 6 I'll do 6 things that I remember about it and 6 things p101 helped me with irl.

1. I remember the original intro, honestly it was amazing. You just have to watch it to see.
2. I remember getting denied beta. No that's not bad, I was just late. But It did make me want to play it more.
3. I remember Seeing pirate parrot mounts everywhere when I first logged on. It was very cool, I actually didn't know that was a bundle mount and attacked enemies who had parrots because I thought it was a drop!
4. I remember making some good friends. Friends that to be honest haven't seen online in years but if they come online today we can strike up conversation like nothing happened.
5. I remember coming home from school and logging on to my computer and playing p101 because it made me happy.
6. I remember the good and the bad. I remember stuff like some fun quests and some not so fun like the collect the key quest from inoshishi bandits (before the patch)

Things that pirate101 helped me with.
1. My depression. Pirate101 made me happy and forget I was sad.
2. My social life. MMO's mainly p101 taught me how too interact with people irl.
3. My being bullied problem. Once I wasn't socially awkward because of p101 I was no longer bullied.
4. My dislike for people. I don't dislike people now, but because I didn't understand people I disliked them, but making friends in p101 fixed that!
5. My studies. P101 believe it or not made me smarter! I learned to spell better, learned about culture and learned about history!
6. All the tough times in my life. while I had tough times before, some of my toughest were in middle school, I was severely depressed and wanted to hurt myself (don't do it!) but p101 was there for me, through good and bad. Honestly, when people use video games for good it can make a big impact. When people say video games are bad for you they are right if you play them too much, but they are more good than bad, they bring people together, they save lives and they are fun!

Happy Birthday Pirate101! I raise a flask of yum to another 6 years!

Poem contest! [closed]

So While I am broke and can only give away 1 399 pack, I want to do a contest! it doesn't seem like much but It's something! If this goes well I might do more contests with more prizes but until this ends who knows? So here is the backstory. My first ever site contest win was on wiz way back when DS was still new. I had to write a haiku about wiz and won first place! So in honor of that I want to do the same thing. So here is the rules and topic.

1. one entry per person.
2. post in the comments.
3. A haiku is 3 syllables, 5 syllables and then 3 or 5 7 5,
4. It has to be why you love p101 or wizard101, or about them.
5. NO COPYING. It has to be completely original.
6: include you're pirate name/wizard name and a True friend code for me. so i'll add you and send you the pack right after you win

So that's it. The time to submit it is by 10/23/18 at 11:59 pm CST. Ill give you a leeway of 11 min (12:10 am CST) but that's it. If your comment is up right away don't worry, i'll be getting on later that day. and approve those who met the deadline.

but that's pretty much it. I can't wait to see all your entries! Cya in the spiral!

Reason: While my friends was good, I found duncan's better. It really spoke to me about p101.

How much stamina do our pirates and wizards have?

So this is a little fun theory, not well thought out and probably not as well done but still, I wanted to do it for a laugh. So how much stamina does our pirate/wizard have? Well here is the answer, an infinite amount, with the ball and chain we don't get tired, carrying wonky the donkey we don't get tired, and we walk faster with the mighty steed mount. Granted these are all joke mounts but what about our backpacks? We carry entire armor sets and quest items in them don't we? Well in wiz it explains we fold them up, however there is still a problem, since you can't create or destroy matter the items will retain their weight. Which means that our pirate/wiz is carrying more than humanly possible despite being a child. So how does our pirate/wiz do it? They live in the same universe as earth so they follow our laws of nature. But that's not the answer, the answer is in fact the worlds gravity. Gravity is found in large objects, such as the spiral worlds, yet there is a problem here. From what we understand there is the gravity circle then the island. Yet the island floats and in some places islands float on different elevations. So what does this mean? Gravity In the spiral somehow breaks the laws of nature. It would seem gravity is non existent on islands but the materials they are made of have their own gravitational pull. I hypothesize that not organic items are like a - pole and organic items are a + pole. So we are pulled to each other. But what does this have to do with gravity? It means that our backpacks, full of the stuff would be technically a part of our weight according to gravity, and while that would normally crush us in real life the magic aspect of it keeps it from doing so. So basically what I'm saying, the material items we carry have no weight, for some reason (probably magic) gravity is not affected by natures laws. So in conclusion our pirate/wizard has unlimited stamina because they carry no weight and you could say they are being pulled along in the direction they want to go and not actually putting much effort out.

Now lets be honest here this isn't the case, its just the magic of a kids video game. This was a fun post For no real reason so I did little research so forgive my errors. I tried to put some quality into it since it is still a post but not as much as a full fledged post, also I shall be gone all next week for college stuff so cya in a bit!

How scrip affects the spiral currency. (gold)

So when Pirate101 introduced scrip most people thought. "Cool! new stuff and new money!" But I thought, "How will this affect gold?". I've been meaning to do this post for awhile but never got to it. But now Is the perfect time. After some research which I used how bitcoin affects preestablished currency I found some shocking things. I used this study btw
So now I shall go over what I think. So basically what I inferred from that study and my own studies on scrip and gold I found that when you compare how much gold you get (you can go from 0 to 250000 pretty fast) and how long it takes you to get to max scrip is quite the difference. Scrip has been stated to be rather rare, which means as a currency, not counting it being an illegal currency has little affect on the economy of the spiral. However there is something that bugs me. Its that ships belonging to governments can carry scrip. And due to the amount that drops from them while little I doubt is contraband. So how does this affect gold? Simple, scrip while illegal is technically a new official spiral wide currency. And due to the fact of how easy it is to get gold and how hard it is to get scrip I estimate that since you can get max gold in mooshu (a tower run) yet it takes awhile to get 100 scrip from anywhere except underground fighting rings such as smugglers arena says this. If you have around 100 scrip you could trade it for max gold. Now, due to the fact that large amounts are found in illegal places such as the arena or smugglers cove house despite the lack of scrip elsewhere also says something. There is huge stockpiles of scrip. Now what does that mean? It means if scrip wasn't hoarded and kept secret like it is at the moment it would go down in value making the people who own most of it more poor and scrip only item prices going way up causing people not to use it anymore. This is over inflation. A good example is Germany after WWI, they printed so much money to pay their debts their money was pretty much worthless. Now what does this all mean? It means Scrip affects the spiral currency by cheating the system and making gold less valuable in the process. In reality in the spiral, Scrip is as plentiful as gold, however due to the underworld stockpiling it and keeping it secret it only seems more rare which makes it more valuable. So how can we combat this? first of all we need to do smugglers arena a ton and spend a ton more script. While I doubt that will change the game it would change the market irl. Because the more currency that goes around the less its worth. However when you buy more and the people in charge of scrip and regulating the amount that's out the script market will do better for a short period of time before scrip is as worthless as gold.
Now, I know my posts have gone down a bit in quality. And ill be the first to admit my excuse is lame. However here it is. Due to college and me working on a post a day for next month I don't really have time at the moment to do posts as good as they were. I'm trying to improve that as you can see in the post above but If you have any criticism let me know and Ill try and improve. Only one rule, make it constructive criticism. That means tell me what's wrong then how you think I can improve it! See you In the spiral!

How I do theories!

So in case you were wondering this is how I do theories! this is a step by step guide on how to do theories like me!

1. pick a topic. Generally the topic you want to pick it one a lot of people ask but there is no official answer. How Wyatt chirp died for example.

2. Research. Look into real life connections as well as in game connections. Much of p101 and w101 are based on real life with some in game twists. so connect the real life ending with some in game clues. Wyatt Earp died of old age in real life however Chirp seemed to die by wild bunch hand. connect the similarities in their lives and you can get a few key plot points where chirp could have died.

3. Make your conclusion. After you research your topic and make some connections figure out the end to your theory, like how chirp died at the old jailhouse because holiday failed to shoot the guy who killed chirp.

4. Write it out. Write out your theory explaining every point you can. It doesn't have to be like Game Theory where you do a ton of math, just explain your reasoning and persuade your reader that this could be truth. But most importantly, its just a theory not canon or anything like that.

5. Share your theory! It can be on central, your own blog, anywhere really. The best part about theories is you can not only solve some questions but make people think. You can think about things with people who enjoy your content and further your theory!

that's all there is too it! See ya in the spiral!

Throwback Thursday! my 5 favorite posts and p101 stuff!

So here are my five favorite posts and five favorite p101 stuff!

1: The finale of Jack and armadtraz! So I did my first ever fan fiction In early 2015, submitted it to p101 (who were VERY picky about fan fictions since they got so many and accepted so few) and it was accepted! however after that month they no longer accepted fan fictions and my story wasn't done! So part of the reason I made this blog was to finish the saga of Jack and armadatraz!

2: How Wyatt Chirp Died. While not my favorite theory, it did answer a question a lot of people asked. So I am quite proud of the fact I was able to answer a question Blind Mew wouldn't!

3: The spiral is doomed! Again not my favorite theory, I put a lot of work into it, so much it saddens me more people didn't check it out. But that's okay because I know its good!

4: An explanation on the timeline! This is my favorite theory, its number 4 because while I put a lot of work into it I feel like it could be better. but it basically says our pirate is older which I like!

5: Who is the most powerful enemy in W101? Another theory, but my favorite W101 only theory. it really makes you think which I like about it.

Pirate101 stuff
1: Golden chickens! I love them, favorite deco, I don't need to explain why...

2: Mighty steed mount: Who wouldn't love it, its a coconut that makes you go fast and its a movie reference!

3. The armada elite gear. Hard to get yet worth it. It looks so good I could cry.

4. Houses. I love them all. they look good, are fun to decorate etc. etc.

5. The style. not a thing I know but the style of the gear on the worlds looks amazing, especially MB gear. Perfection at its most, well perfect.

that's all, expect a spooky theory on the undead later! See you in the spiral!

Why the spiral is doomed!

So ya, this is morbid. But however it is an accurate theory. I will be going over why the spiral is doomed no matter what we do without using the phrase history repeats itself or what our wizard/pirate has caused and only on the people around them by focusing on three main points. They are
  1. Incompetent leaders
  2. Unbalance of power
  3. Reliance on third parties.
Also i'll try and focus on a point per game and one for both so you can see this relates to both areas of the spiral.

So let’s start with number one. Incompetent leaders. There are many examples but there are three HUGE examples. Ambrose, The emperor of Mooshu and Monquista in general.
  1. Ambrose. Remember the tutorial? He literally made a student with no experience with fighting or magic fight 2 highly skilled magic creatures while he stood on the sidelines and watched, by the way he gave us spells during the fight! We had no spells and he made us fight a magic duel! Meanwhile there was Malistaire who could have easily defeated us if he decided to fight. Now that I think of it he was incompetent. The first rule of war is to never underestimate your enemy. But back to Ambrose, after that, he made us clean up wizard city, something which other students who were more advanced and guards trained for this couldn't do! This shows Ambrose really has no idea what he’s doing.
  2. The emperor of Mooshu. When he was put in a coma his “trusted” generals revolted and tried to take the throne in a bid for power. Now that seems normal but keep in mind, that 1. If the leader is competent, loved and trusted that wouldn't happen, and 2. They seemed oddly prepared for this, like they had their armies ready to revolt right when the emperor was put in a coma. So this shows they were going to try for the throne either way, this just helped them. You might say Malistaire helped them which is true, but to think samoorai which are all about honor and serving their emperor betrayed him so fast doesn't look too good, plus a oni got in the capital! Not only is the emperor incompetent but his guards who relied on a stranger to the land who was also a child to fix what highly trained warriors familiar with the land, culture and war tactics of the enemies couldn’t.
  3. Monquista. It's a corrupt system with leaders changing every other day, every citizen has some power, they over inflate their ego without a military force to support a war and they are in the middle of a civil war between church and state. Ya, if that's not incompetence I don't know what is. Plus between you and me, they will do anything to keep their “prestige”. Like trying to imprison a pirate who defeated someone they couldnt and brought it to them, only to start another civil war, get defeated and have the prisoner the pirate brought become king and make a exiled former queen the new queen. So ya, monquista is bad at everything.

Alright unbalance of power. I will rely mainly on lore so bare with me if you are a spiral lore buff. But here is a picture and two other things which sum up how unbalanced the power is.
Key words are in the last line, “when Wharf Rats and Cutthroats can make the imperial navies tremble.” In real life pirates feared the navies, however since some of the greatest navies such as MB feared pirates who were not as equipped for military vessels this shows how out of control power has gotten. To be fair this was after a major naval war however pirates who pilot ships which hardly can be called fit for combat can beat MB galleons we have a problem with power.
2. The fact that MB can’t handle the crime. So ya, MB’s elite police force, detectives and most likely army who might be involved can’t get rid of MB’s crime. The gangs hold all the power and can influence events in MB. Plus they basically have their own army and a massive funding of stolen gold. The power of the queen and the o'leary's is debatable since while the queen is in charge of that world the gang is in charge of the underworld, and the underworld in MB is huge. If the gangs tried to take over MB there is no guarantee who would win. That just shows how unbalanced the power is even in a superpower of a world like Marleybone.
3. Dragonspyre in its heyday. So basically Dragonspyre was the major military power for awhile, they could have easily taken over the spiral yet nobody opposed them. This unbalance of power goes to show that other superpowers don’t care about rising powers no matter how powerful they get as long as there is no war. This just shows how power balance works in the spiral. Basically you can become so powerful you can take over worlds in a day but as long as you don't bother me I wont bother you. This goes into incompetence as well. After all this is how the Napoleguin wars started, the powers let polaris get powerful and only attacked when provoked, not when they posed a clear danger by rapidly building a military with clear intentions for spiral power. But onto the last point

3. Reliance on third parties. AKA as our wizard/pirate.
So basically I’m not going to say what they did wrong but what some people did right.
  1. Celestia fighting morganthe. Sure they died in the end but seeing how every other world just waited to be destroyed and nobody fought anybody to prevent destruction of the spiral Celestia was a huge step forward. They knew they could very well lose, but they didn't give up and fought the shadow for their sakes as well as the spiral, and when all was lost they took their enemies down with them, at least until someone could defeat them. In contrast Azteca while they tried to save themselves relied pretty much entirely on our wizard and didn't fight the shadow with all they had, and look where that left them. Point is Celestia did something right while pretty much every other world chose to let a third party do their work and hope for the best while if they helped as well things could have gone much better.
  2. Avery fighting for his republic. Sure our pirate had a major hand but Avery did a lot of work himself. You could argue he relied on us and that's true, but he did a lot before we came and worked with us to realize HIS dream. He did this because it was mutually beneficial, so basically a pirate is a better person than Ambrose.
  3. Gortez finishing its civil war. Okay sure this is p101 only but Azteca had monkeys and a ship so cut me some slack. But the point is Gortez relied on us at the beginning, to free him and napoleguin HOWEVER he didn't ask us to win the war for him, to be honest we didn't do much, he got a army and navy, he fought with his troops against monquista, and he continues to lead his people not as a superior person but as an ally. Plus he repays his debts. He respects people who help him like our pirate and helps us when he can even though we don't visit him unless we want something (am I the only one who feels bad about that?) But the point is, when we got him on his feet he basically said, go and adventure, it's my responsibility since I wanted this war. In contrast Mooshu you do all that for the emperor and when he wakes up he says thank you but as we can see he doesn't do much else. There are still stray rebels but he doesn't seem to care. Its like he expects someone to clean up for him, his army or not that's not how a good leader like Gortez acts. For example in ancient times great leaders like Alexander the Great were called great because not only did they conquered a lot but they stood on the front line with their men and not in some tent leading them safely. They put their lives at risk along with those who worked under them and gained a ton of respect because of that. Since the emperor of mooshu doesn't seem to do that it's safe to say that's why they revolted.
So in the end no matter what we do the spiral will perish, maybe not because of destruction but it’s very possible it could be destroyed because of the people who lead it. While some major powers who people underestimate might win like Monquista others who are far more powerful will fall like Marleybone. And finally in the end Monquista might be the last of the old major powers while some smaller ones like avalon Rise due to their militarization and isolation which would lead to lack of conflict with other powers. As a bonus here is my prediction for the major powers in the end of a likely spiral wide war (either of civil war or for power)
Most powerful: Monquista. While the weakest major power now, they have access to gold and supplies to hire mercenaries and have a better leadership than most worlds. While they have flaws it can be overlooked for their loyalty to gortez.
Second most: Skull Island. While new, the fact that there are so many pirates, they have a hold on some of the underworld in other worlds not just SI and the fact that they are allies with all the other major worlds means they would stay out of conflict and the last major power would ally with them, that being Monquista.
Third most: Avalon. Due to no stormgates in the skyways and their now “stable” government with building their army means military wise they are the most however they can’t invade anyone meaning that they are only powerful due to their defense.
Fourth most: This one would be changing allot, but there is one I know won’t be it, Wizard City. That might be a surprise however Wizard city’s military is its guards, and some student wizards. I think however Wizard city might be decimated in a spiral wide war due to the fact of lack of defense and it could be seen as a threat later on.
That’s all and See you in the spiral!
