top 10 things w101 and p101 could add

just 10 things kingsilse could add to make the games better In random ways, I'm excluding things that are in one game but not the other, like crafting.

10 teacher boss fights, I'm not talking about things like Cyrus drake I'm talking about our pirate vs Avery or our wizard vs Ambrose, a long requested thing that probably wont happen.

9 pirate and wizards meet. sort of like the box event but a wizard (presumably ours) meets our pirate, just a little idea with so many possibilities.

8 explanations of how the spiral work. I'm talking not about its history we have that, I'm talking about a scientific explanation of the inner works of the spiral. possibly explained with a combo of magic and science?

7 huge bosses. When I say huge I mean huge. same mechanics but it would be more intimidating and look way cooler. sort of like the size of a building huge.

6 companion customization. in other games you can change your companions clothes. I like this idea since it makes it seem like every companion is different. this is really a p101 thing but still.

5 fighting style crossovers. I want to see our wizards get in fights like the days of old dragonspyre, forcing to rely on magic to beat enemies coming at you with weapons and not just casting spells. same with our pirate, it really would seem cool.

4 Fleet Battle! like ship pvp but this would require around five npc ships that you have in your fleet and your main ship which you control. it would require strategy and not just clicking buttons.

3 more strategy based fights. sure there is cheats but its really more a normal fight with some side stuff. I would like to see more fights like the kane battle, except it actually works like chess or something like that.

2 some new serious topics, the save the spiral gig is getting a bit old. something new would be better even on small scale. I would like to see the topic of death more focused on in a small scale, Azteca was general but a side quest dealing with it would be much better. sometimes even kids games need a pinch of darkness.

1 guild type things with conquest. it would be great to have official groups of people who resonate with something in something like a guild and maybe even have spiral conquest where you do certain things to gain points, and if your guild captures a world then your guild flag and name would show for a time, and you could earn special capture only rewards for your lvl and class. of course it would be themed the world you capture and would add a new lvl of competition and players to both games.

top ten favorite dungeons in both games

same as before, least favorite of the favorite at number 10 and favorite of the favorite at one, shall we start?

number 10: the great spire, last dungeon of DS
I love this dungeon because its so amazing, the beginning looks like a maze and it used to be required to get a full group. but I just love the looks of it, plus its cool to see the dragon titan up close!

number 9: the labyrinth, DS
what can I say, I love ds and its dungeons! I love this one especially because of the fact there is a lava lake, its just so awesome and the dungeon is like a giant prison/living area which is awesome!

number 8 beachhead, the core
this one is a bit boring for some, but very funny and great to explore for me. I felt like I was in star wars, trying to blow up the armadas version of the death star. plus the turret makes me think its also a factory since it never is truly defeated.

number 7: the machine, Valencia.
largely due to the unique battle, and this is the end of the first arc for p101 this is one of my favorite dungeons. True the difficulty might be a factor but this dungeon was only good enough to be number seven, not top five in my opinion

number 6:darkmoor, the graveyard.
due to its great drops, hard to work around cheats, and the cut scenes this beat out the first fight with malistare by a long shot! however it kind of sucks I couldn't use a heal pet through a few battles.

number 5: dragonspyre past, DS
this is a very beautiful dungeon, well designed and although short and small gives us a huge look on what DS was like before the dragon titan. plus who doesn't love the joke about some person fixing the bridges in ds present then you fix the bridges in ds past.

number 4: duck of death boot hill. CR
kind of a weird one, I love it for the fact you fight on a ship, plus the fact that you have to blow it up doesn't hurt ;)

number 3: cavern of the crescent moons, MQ diablo cut
while it may be a bit long it certainly makes me think. for one its a Indiana jones reference, with the holy grail, the guarding knight, etc. and a reference to a short story about a monkeys paw that grants three wishes that usually turn out bad.NI

Number 2: troy, mouse and palace. Aquila p101
this is may favorite for several reasons, one its hilarious, with the monty python references, 2 it looks amazing and well done, and three, gold chickens! overall this parody storyline of the Iliad is great, sort of like a mini arc by itself.

NUMBER 1: Wreck of the victory, Trafalgar Vortex
this is such an amazing dungeon, I may have farmed for hours on end day and night for nearly a year, its drop rates may be the worst in history, and it may get annoying but its so awesome to fight an army of armada with dogs at your side, and see a death star like explosion when you leave. It never gets old and I continue to go back time to time

Top 10 bosses in the spiral

this lists my top 10 favorite bosses from both p101 and w101 combined
starting from least favorite of the ten (number 10) to my favorite boss in both games (num 1)
number 10: The first malistare encounter
while I didn't like the fight (it was rather boring for me) I did love the setting, the dragon titan staring at us battle, the look of dragonspyre, combined with the music gave me chills, its a dungeon I sometimes go back to for no reason other than to see that all again.

number 9: The machine, kane.
yes the first arc final boss again, both deserve a spot on this list, but Kane is better because of the style of the battle, its completely unique to the game, extremely difficult and offers some cool items, but what I love about it most is this is a boss you can be afraid of, even with a full skilled and good geared group. with out a buck spamming tritons chorus, Kane can pretty much one shot anyone. Most bosses in these games are not at all hard with a full group, but with Kane, we may joke he is going to kill us in one shot, but we are terrified of it happening.

number 8: buster crab (a boss before the si expansion update)
while this was a very easy fight, I loved the fact that we had to free someone and protect them to win. the badge wasn't to bad either, "crab boiler" was funny and I wish they would give us some way to get it back.

number 7: darkmoor malistare
technically different boss, but I love malistare anyways so he was going to be on here again. What I love about this is not the fight, not the drops, but the ending. the guy we see defy death time and time again so he can destroy us and resurrect his wife finally admits defeat and accepts peace with us. it was a touching moment and one that never gets old.

number 6: Cyrus drake
this fight was not hard, yet not easy. we could get no help from friends, crown shop henchmen were not the best choice to waste on him, and he was a professor facing a student, yet I loved it because of this. it was new, exciting and of course, a great chance for revenge against him trying too expel us for bringing his laundry late or something like that >:D

number 5: every cool ranch boss.
why you may ask? because of the music. it made me think I was in a old west showdown, what else is there to say?

number 4: every Dragonspyre boss
again with every boss but its true, DS is my favorite world because a combo of the music, setting, and atmosphere. some of my favorite settings were the rooms with lava on the floor and ceiling. great jobs designers

number 3: bishop, beachhead
this guy is great, his historical reference to the plague, he is a mad scientist and most of all, the only elite to survive 3 battles with us! coward yes, but it shows he may be more sentient than kane since he has a will to live. the only time he doesn't flee is in the presence of kane who would do worse things to him than us.

number 2: froggo villa
funny dialogue plus some family history. turns out my great uncle made beer in the time of prohibition, so he moved to texas to make moonshine, pancho villa then captured him and tried to ransom him but my great uncle befriended pancho and his crew and later he took a photo with him and his gang and got panchos and some of his gangs signatures. so ya, I was like, oh hey its a family friend!

before our number 1 here is some honorable mentions
Moo Manchu tower of moo, Jacques the scratcher, jade oni, deacon.

now for number 1, drum roll on whatever is nearby....
Rooke! wreck of the victory.
its true his drop rates are some of the worst in gaming history, I mean its rare for him to even drop junk drops let alone his stuff!, but I love the setting of the fight, two collided ships, the tense yet mb like music, the beautiful mb sky, FIRE, and the first rooke fight, kill rooke who is an anti melee and ranged monster, protect nelson against an army of armada, and how cool rooke looks! overall while he never drops things it is still a fun dungeon which I have a ton of memories of.

the science of the spiral!

hello everybody! in my last post I talked a bit about conspiracy theories, which made me think, how does spiral science work? And when I looked at it, it was basically the same as ours. so I am making this post to explain 2 things, how the spiral is earth, and why. let us commence the science!

Lets start out with my first and most major proof, the culture and the inhabitants of the spiral. Culture is a very unique thing, while some may share similarities none are the same, for example roman and Greek culture, both are pretty much the same (romans copied the greeks and changed some stuff) and both have similar architecture but overall both are very different. Greece alone had many different cultures because of its city states, like Sparta, a warlike culture, and Athens, a more wisdom based culture (they hated each other also). What I'm saying is the culture similarities should indicate the spiral is earth because they are one and the same! that includes the animals, like mirage, a Persian empire based world in my opinion, or even a Moorish empire, has the Persian cats, which fit its culture. this combined with the fact of no culture can be the same should be proof enough, if not lets continue.

The matter of history repeating itself is well known, and since the spiral follows a ton of earth history we can assume safely this is earth. then why are people animals you may ask? well simple, evolution. Evolution is a known and undeniable fact which happens to all of us. so its safe to say animals evolved into smarter beings like humans did. lets continue since this one is self explanatory

the science of the spiral is basically the same as ours, things require water, oxygen, and food, to live. we jump up and fall down, matter can not be created or destroyed (summons are just taking a monster and moving it to you tbh and transmutations are basically illusions) but all in all the science is the same, magic just "adjusted" some known rules of the universe.

overall i'm just saying its highly possible this is our earth, just after an apocalypse. everything fits and even merle saying we came from another world could just mean pre apocalypse earth since world doesn't always mean place but sometimes time. (example, a time traveler came to the wild west and it would be like a whole new world to him) even though this wasn't intended by KI it still brings up some thoughts you never thought you would think. turns out the spiral isn't so far away after all...

spiral conspiracy theories

hello, and welcome to this totally not X files rip off. today we will talk about some conspiracy theories roaming around the spiral. *off tuned X-files music plays*

theory one: our companion in p101 old scratch wants to destroy the spiral.
let me explain, lets start with his name, might as well be Beelzebub because this guy is the devil. Old scratch is another name for the devil if you didn't get the joke (Beelzebub also) it is prophesized Satan will raise an army of the dead to take over the earth, much like old scratch was raising an army of the dead...

theory two: the spiral is a place where parallel universes merge.
think about it, p101 and w101 both have a storyline meant for one person, yet we see everyone else who is on/has done/will do the same story as us, it also explains the undead. undead are often described as spirits trapped between worlds, or dimensions if you will. Ambrose said our wizard comes from a place that doesn't believe in magic (most likely earth) and when you think of earth, you don't think of undead roaming around (unless you count that disgusting parasite) so it stands to reason that the undead are in the spiral because that's the point between dimensions. Its like a fantasy effect, Neverland is the center of the universe so nobody ages, the spiral is the point between dimensions so the undead get trapped there (which explains the endless amount and ghosts of spiral citizens because the universe is endless and the people of the spiral get trapped since they are already where they need to go.)

Theory three: the spiral is a post apocalyptic earth made into a galaxy. I know merle said we came from earth basically but not when or which earth, so we could have come before said apocalypse. think about this, all our culture is in the spiral yet the spiral is a totally different place, weird isn't it?

final theory: the spiral has logic
we all say there is no logic in the spiral, but that's false. my proof, magic. when our wizard/pirate jumps we fall down. why our pirate ships and worlds float is because of magic. even magic must rely on logic, seeing that powerful spells take time to learn and cost more. remember how malistare was able to raise the dead? it took him forever to learn that and cost a ton (aka his life) so really the spiral has logic, its just...absurd.

Napoleguin and the spiral aftermath of the update

Hello again all! I was recently browsing the boards when I saw a great topic about what Napoleguin and the new updates! (sort of like a sequel to my conspiracy theories about him but not by me.) This post was by Ethan the Baron in the tavern, and I thought I would expand on it, just saying not my idea and full credit for this post goes to him for giving me this idea. shall we begin?

Ethan made several good points, like for one pretty much every major spiral power is in disarray (except mooshu) and si is just starting out while Polaris is relatively fine. but I wouldn't forget the fact that when our wizard went there we started a rebellion so napoleguin will have some work to do.
I'm making a list of things that are right and wrong in the situation regarding a second Napoleonic war in the spiral.
right things
1: There were 2 Napoleonic wars irl. True the second one was short however that's not the point, there were 2. however napoleons major turning point in that war was his failed invasion of Russia in which he lost a large amount of troops which ultimately cost him the war.

2 All the major spiral powers are in disarray, while this is true expect mooshu i'm excluding mooshu and going by historical similarities since ki loves to do that. like the second Napoleonic war Europe was still recovering from multiple wars within itself, as well as struggling with wars oversea like Britain and America. So it would make sense the spiral powers are in disarray with the armada invading marleybone (multiple similarities to the Spanish and British rivalry at the time) and monquista (Spain) also in disarray. This gives Napoleon the chance he needs to make a power move since nobody was ready for him or for all out war at that seconds notice. Plus Napoleguin like Napoleon is a dangerous mind and great tactician which means he is as much as a threat as the real deal.

3 the wiz/pirate101 timeline.
While we can all agree its a bit unclear we do know p101 seems to take place a little bit after the wiz timeline due tot the fact that while our pirate was in mooshu malistare was mentioned so we know we fall a little bit behind our wiz at the very least. I'm know this is a shared universe and since companions do stuff while we are offline this makes this a game that despite lack of udpates continues we still share the same time with our wiz so its safe to say the Polaris storyline affects our pirate if this happens.

Things wrong with this
1 while this could be our next arc I doubt it, its a bit of a short war

2 DS while Nordic champion makes a good point on its origins would no doubt act as Russia in this case, and everybody in DS seems a bit busy being dead.

3 the technicality. technically this is possible but like I said there are some things that don't add up which means it could happen and be different from history or could not and we are left with a Napoleguin owing us a favor

You may notice whenever I talk about Napoleguin I bring up the favor he owes us, this is for several reasons like how favors are the most valuable thing you can have if a powerful person owes you one (at least in the spiral) and since Napoleguin is described as the most dangerous mind in the spiral its worth a ton for him to owe you one. Also that single detail in the dialog about him owing you a favor could be the key to so many possibilities, new worlds, el dorado, si gaining land (Louisiana purchase) even you being appointed your own port If and when napoleguin rises to power again.

Overall this could be the biggest thing to happen to the spiral or it doesn't affect the spiral at all, but I doubt ki will leave this be, things tend to show up time and time again in the spiral...*cough* malistare *cough*
